About The Bray Summerfest 2011
Bray is situated on the east coast of Ireland 20km south from Dublin, the town features an expansive promenade and a bustling retail centre. The town developed as a popular seaside resort and became known as the “Brighton of Irelandâ€. Vibrant painters, musicians, film makers, actors and dancers contribute to the towns amazing web of artistic and cultural genius.
This festival was founded in 1981 and its reputation has grown nationally and internationally over the past 30 years. In 2010, attendance figures reached above 120,000 with 60,000 people attending the Air Display alone. Although the festival is recognized as the main tourist driver for North Wicklow, it still has a community focus with all the events and activities provided on a not for profit voluntary basis.
Highlights of past years programmes include, Brian Kennedy, Mary Black, Mundy, Neil Hannon and Lisa Hannigan alongside others.

The Bray Summerfest is run by a team of volunteers on a not for profit basis. The aims of the festival and organization are to provide a community festival for all, and promote tourism in Bray.
